Welcome to The Wayfarer’s Gazette!
Welcome, weary travelers, brave adventurers, questionable merchants, and anyone who wandered in looking for the nearest tavern!
You’ve found The Wayfarer’s Gazette, an independent, fan-created newspaper dedicated to the world of Monsters & Memories.
From the bustling streets of Eth-ur to its darkest dungeons, we bring you news, guild announcements, artisan advertisements, strange discoveries, questionable advice, and the occasional story that probably should have remained untold.
Our correspondents may call Nunavoth home, but the Gazette serves adventurers across every server. Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or a fresh-faced traveler still figuring out which end of the sword to hold, there’s a place for you here.
Our motto says it best:
“All the News That’s Fit to Print. And Quite a Bit That Isn’t.”
Meet the Gazette’s Editorial Staff
Nynkies “Nimblefingers” — Editor-in-Chief
A goblin rogue with an eye for a good story and an even sharper eye for unattended coin purses. Nynkies oversees the Gazette’s operations, investigates matters of public interest, and maintains that accepting gold does not constitute bribery if one calls it an editorial contribution.
Auntie Agro — Advice Columnist
An elderly goblin Enchanter whose wisdom is matched only by her ability to make foolish adventurers regret asking questions. Through Dear Auntie Agro, she dispenses practical advice, biting sarcasm, and the occasional verbal beating. Her advice is free. Recovering from it may take considerably longer.
Shamboogie “Spiritshuffler” — Paranormal Correspondent
A Deep Gnome Shaman who investigates Eth-ur’s unexplained mysteries, restless spirits, and things that go bump in the dungeon. Through Beyond the Veil, Shamboogie seeks answers from the spirit world—with varying degrees of cooperation.
As he frequently reminds us:
“The spirits have spoken. Unfortunately, they were all talking at once.”
Together, this unlikely editorial staff endeavors to keep the citizens of Eth-ur informed, entertained, and occasionally deeply concerned.
What You’ll Find in the Gazette
The Herald’s Dispatch — News, announcements, community happenings, and noteworthy developments from across Eth-ur.
The Guild Hall — A gathering place where guilds can recruit new members and adventurers can discover their next traveling companions.
Dear Auntie Agro — Questions about adventuring, relationships, troublesome party members, or life’s many disasters? Auntie Agro has answers. Whether you’ll appreciate them is another matter.
Shamboogie’s “Beyond the Veil” — Strange encounters, unexplained mysteries, ghostly happenings, and investigations into the things that lurk beyond ordinary understanding.
The Artisan’s Exchange — A marketplace where the talented crafters and tradespeople of Eth-ur can advertise their wares, services, and special commissions.
From Nynkies’ Desk — Editorials, observations, announcements, and whatever else our Editor-in-Chief decides deserves publication. His opinions do not necessarily reflect those of the Gazette’s other staff members, who frequently deny knowing him.
